Groundhog Day

On 2nd February is the day that marks the midwinter fair. In many countries, especially in the U.S.A and Canada, is known as the Groundhog Day (Día de las Marmotas).
According to legend the groundhogs, which are hibernating, leave this day: if the weather is sunny means that the six weeks leading up to the end of the winter will be cold and if the weather is cloudy or rainy mean the rest of winter, until the arrival spring, will not be very cold.

El 2 de febrero, es el día en que se cumple justo la mitad del invierno. En muchos países, especialmente en Estados Unidos y Canadá, se le conoce como el Groundhog Day (Día de las Marmotas).
Según una leyenda las marmotas, que están hibernando, salen este día: si el tiempo está soleado significa que las seis semanas que faltan para terminar el invierno serán frías y si el tiempo está nublado o lluvioso significa que el resto del invierno, hasta la llegada de la primavera, será suave.
